Considering the top universities for Fine Art? – get clued up!
It can be difficult to imagine what you might end up doing if you study Fine Art at Art College / University.
And there is always the concern from others that there are no jobs in the arts. There will always be people who don’t pursue a career in the arts having studied for 3 or 4 years, but that really is your choice.
There is a great quote going around social media at the moment – for 20 years, Kelly Pollock has been an integral leader at COCA-Center of Creative Arts in St. Louis, USA.
So the skills that you acquire, there are many, aside from actually learning to draw, paint, sculpt, print etc. will be useful in all walks of life.
However, if you do plan to become an artist then take a look at this Youtube playlist, ‘What do artists do all day?’ and it will be sure to really inspire you and see that there are many opportunities to do what you love. There are 44 videos in total, some of my favourites are Cornelia Parker, Anthony Gormley, Tracy Emin and Marvin Gaye Chetwynd.
If you’d like a copy of the skills that you DO acquire whilst in a creative education, please download our PDF here.
I hope this helps you to make some decisions about your future creative choices at the top universities for fine art.
